Unlucky for Some

Today is Friday the 13th, a date which always inspires fear and dread. Well, if there's one day something will go wrong, surely Friday the 13th is a safe bet.

We have another two to look forward to this year, with the 13th April and July both falling on a Friday in 2012.

Traditionally one of the highest rates of staff absence is seen on Friday the 13th as all of the superstitious types stay at home to avoid any potential mishaps that the day may threaten.

We must be a very brave bunch in the Keevils office as we all bravely turned in, although maybe it has more to do with lack of observation, because most people hadn’t realised the date until they got here!

So far, the day seems to be going well. There have been no freak snowstorms, delayed deliveries, or serial killers lurking in the shadows.

However, one of our printers mysteriously stopped working this morning. Spooky..?

To combat the fear, we think steak is the way to go. A nice big Ribeye steak with heaps of chips and mushrooms – lovely. We can heartily recommend it, and if it fails to stop anything bad happening, at least you’ll have a full belly to cope with it.

Disclaimer: Keevil and Keevil do not suggest in any way that ribeye steak will ward off evil spirits, or prevent any accidents or misfortune. But it does taste damn good.
