..and a Happy New Year!

As we reach the end of 2011 and we reflect on the past 12 months, one thing will be on our mind – food, as usual.

Working in Smithfield we see a huge variety of foods and it is great to have the opportunity to try so many different things, but meat in particular.

In our office, the plans for tomorrow all seemed to be centred around eating, and while some of us are going out for a meal, others will be cooking up a feast at home.

We have had a large amount of dinner-party type food go out for delivery this week, and so we know many of you are planning to see in 2012 in style!

Geese are now at the end of the season and lots of our customers are clearly making the most of this and having one as their centrepiece for the big night. We have also sold a large number of fillet steaks and lamb racks - both are always a winner, and pretty simple to cook.

Whether you're going to be cooking to impress, or if you'll be venturing into an overpriced restaurant or club (and good luck to you if you are!) we hope your New Year’s Eve goes well and that you have a fabulous time.
