We struggled for years to find a reliable supplier of free range English chicken but we have now found a fantastic one, in Creedy Carver.

From Crediton in Devon, Creedy Carver chicks are initially reared in temperature controlled units until they’re 28 days old, when they are moved to free range units, which are either straw bale shacks or special wooden chicken arks.

Reared in small flocks to reduce stress and increase freedom, they roam grassy fields and are fed a low-density, GM free, additive and antibiotic-free diet, which allows slower growth.

Result: a happier, better tasting chicken.

Tip: Gently season, roast. That’s it.

Each free range English chicken weighs approximately 1.6kg.

AVAILABLE FOR DELIVERY ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY ONLY

Put into a fridge as soon as possible after delivery, and consume within 5 days or before best before date on packaging.

Suitable for home freezing – please freeze on day of delivery and use within 3 months. Defrost fully before cooking.

Remove from fridge 30 minutes before cooking and allow to come to room temperature.

Brush with melted butter, season with salt and pepper, and roast in an oven at 190°C (Gas Mark 5) for 1 hour 15 minutes

Baste regularly throughout cooking.

Cover and leave to rest for 15 minutes before carving.

Delivery Information

We use technologically-advanced packaging , which we have put through vigorous testing to ensure your order arrives with you at the correct temperature.

We deliver from Tuesday to Friday, and also on Saturdays for a surcharge. Delivery is charged at £5, with free delivery for all orders of £75.00 and over, except for Saturday deliveries which have a surcharge of £15. Our deliveries are made between 8am and 4pm, and you can choose to have your order delivered to you at home, to your place of work or to another address you choose.
