Chicken hearts are used extensively in Brazilian and Japanese cooking and we have seen increased demand in recent years.

They are fairly high in cholesterol but are a good source of vitamins, iron and zinc.

Although hearts are offal they have a milder flavour than most other organs. The flavour of chicken hearts is very similar to dark chicken leg meat.

Brazilian cooks usually simply grill the hearts on a skewer, but they can be stir fried or sautéed as well.

Put into a fridge as soon as possible after delivery, and consume within 5 days or before best before date on packaging.

Suitable for home freezing – please freeze on day of delivery and use within 3 months. Defrost fully before cooking.

Chicken hearts are cooked the Brazilian way by threading onto a skewer and grilling until cooked through.

Alternatively, chicken hearts make a delicious snack or side dish.
First rinse and dry the hearts, then sauté in 30g melted butter for around 30 minutes until the butter has been absorbed and the hearts are browned.
Season and serve.

We use technologically-advanced packaging , which we have put through vigorous testing to ensure your order arrives with you at the correct temperature.

We deliver from Tuesday to Friday, and also on Saturdays for a surcharge. Delivery is charged at £5, with free delivery for all orders of £75.00 and over, except for Saturday deliveries which have a surcharge of £15. Our deliveries are made between 8am and 4pm, and you can choose to have your order delivered to you at home, to your place of work or to another address you choose.
