Guinea fowl is naturally lean, and has a slightly game-y taste.

It is packed with flavour and is perfect as a lower-fat alternative to chicken.

Our guinea fowl come from farms in Northern France where they're reared in free-range flocks, in as natural an environment as possible.

Tip: Guinea fowel is leaner than chicken and because of the lower fat ratio, it means it can dry out during cooking. Cover in streaky bacon or pancetta before roasting, or pot-roast in stock to keep it moist.

Each bird weighs a minimum of 1.1kg, and will provide 3 adult portions.

Put into a fridge as soon as possible after delivery, and consume within 5 days or before best before date on packaging.

Suitable for home freezing – please freeze on day of delivery and use within 3 months. Defrost fully before cooking.

Remove from fridge 30 minutes before cooking and allow to come to room temperature.

Cver the breast with rashers of streaky bacon, and cook for 1 hour at 180°C (Gas Mark 4), then remove from the oven, cover and rest for 15 minutes before carving.

Guinea fowl should be cooked thoroughly so check that the juices run clear and the meat isn't pink before serving.

We use technologically-advanced packaging , which we have put through vigorous testing to ensure your order arrives with you at the correct temperature.

We deliver from Tuesday to Friday, and also on Saturdays for a surcharge. Delivery is charged at £5, with free delivery for all orders of £75.00 and over, except for Saturday deliveries which have a surcharge of £15. Our deliveries are made between 8am and 4pm, and you can choose to have your order delivered to you at home, to your place of work or to another address you choose.
